I’ve been out of circulation for a while now…. It has been due to a mixture of being extremely busy – have to take some classes, working on my German, started refreshing my French, and working on my methodological framework – and generally not being sure if anything worth putting here has really happened. Oh no! A lot has happened, and I am sure that people who are greedy for gossip would take delight in them! But I am going to paste as little as possible about my personal life around here. What I have decided to be doing instead is to bring anything that comes to my attention and catches my fancy here. And I am adding something else to my blog: some links to blogs I find interesting.
I will be going to The Netherlands later this week. I am sure I’ll have somthing interesting from the trip to share with everyone.
Ok, bis später.
Found your blog today.
Your short research statement is cool, mostly it makes me think you’re one dude who can focus on Ph.D. research so I’m glad they noted this and invited you to study in Germany; hope you’re having fun with it.
The French thing, yeah, I’d say it’s pretty important, and as you say it’s quite surprising how little we in Nigeria know or care about our neighbours – Chad? Niger? …My instinct is that these connections are important going into the future (if I understand it, your studies are of the past and present) – not that I actually study these ideas formally but they inspired blogCFA.blogspot.com which is still a young baby – feel free to practice your French there – my French is…, I use the automatic translators a lot)
So good luck with your thoughts and writings. Glad to have found your blog.
